You Can Have A Brand New Smile In Just One Day!

Are you unhappy with your smile? Do you wish you could have a brand new smile that you can show off with confidence?

At the office of Dr. Mark W. Wilhelm in Woodbury, MN we offer a unique treatment solution we call the Same-Day Smile. We encourage you to learn more about the Same-Day Smile to find out if this revolutionary single-day treatment plan is right for you.

What Is The Same-Day Smile?

At our Woodbury, MN dentist office, our unique Same-Day Smile treatment allows us to gently and carefully remove any teeth that need to be extracted, place brand new dental implants and replacement teeth all in the same day.

Our Same-Day Smile is a truly remarkable treatment option given that in many cases, the steps included in the treatment take several appointments. The treatment allows us to completely eliminate the time you would normally spend waiting for replacement teeth and a brand new smile.

Getting The Same-Day Smile: What To Expect

Before we can start your treatment, you’ll need to visit our office for a routine dental exam and consultation. We will take X-rays to get a better look at your teeth and jawbone and discuss the areas of your mouth that need help. You will then sit down with Dr. Mark Wilhelm to go over a treatment plan that would work best for you and your goals for the treatment.

During your consultation, we will discuss whether any of your teeth need to be removed. If you’re already missing teeth, it’s important that we get a close look at your gums and bone structure to check for any deterioration. It’s important to have enough bone to support the dental implants that we use as part of our Same-Day Smile.

We will take dental impressions that we’ll use to make your dental restorations. We will then schedule your appointment for you to come in and receive your brand new smile!

The Procedure

We first like to remind our patients that the Same-Day Smile procedure is entirely painless. When you come to our Woodbury, MN office, we’ll use a local anesthetic to ensure the procedure is pain-free. However, if you are experiencing any sort of dental anxiety or would like a little more help feeling relaxed and comfortable, don’t hesitate to request dental sedation. We offer the following sedation options:

  • Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide is the mildest type of sedation we have available. You’ll be able to relax and feel more comfortable and may even feel tired, but you’ll still be able to participate in your treatment and answer questions throughout. Because nitrous oxide wears off quickly after the appointment, you can drive yourself home.

  • Oral Sedation

Oral sedation ranges from mild to moderate in terms of sedation levels. We will need you to get to our office an hour before your appointment to take the oral sedation which is in the form of a pill. You’ll feel like you’re on the edge of sleep and may even fall asleep but you’ll still be able to respond to any requests we may have. Because oral sedation takes several hours to wear off after the appointment, you’ll need someone to give you a ride home.

  • IV Sedation

IV sedation allows us to adjust the sedative effects throughout the procedure to suit your needs. You’ll be asleep during your procedure which means you’ll need some time afterward to recover. That means you’ll need someone to give you a ride home.

  • General Anesthesia

General anesthesia is the strongest type of sedation dentistry we offer. With general anesthesia, you’ll be completely asleep and it’ll take some time for you to wake up. You’ll need several hours after the procedure to get back to normal so you’ll need someone to give you a ride home. It also helps to have someone with you as you recover.

Once you’re comfortable, we’ll begin with your tooth extraction. We’ll then carefully place the dental implants into your jawbone that will support your customized restoration. The restoration will be secured to the implants right afterward, giving you a brand new smile in just one visit!
